Who are ARCH and CNHC?
The Association & Register of Colonic Hydrotherapists (ARCH) is celebrating its 25th birthday this year. .jpg)
It became a member of the The General Naturopathic Council (GNC) in 2004.
It is the largest & oldest colonic association in the world. It sets very high standards and is the leading association in colonic irrigation. Members must have been trained as a medical doctor, nurse or 2 years in a substantial complementary therapy before they can qualify.
ARCH members are Naturopathic Colonic Hydrotherapists.
The Complementery & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) is supported by the Department of Health. Have a look at their website to see what this quality mark means for assurances to the public. www.cnhc.org.uk
Every therapist on their register must attain verifiable national standards of training and length of service in clinical practice. Along with ongoing continual practitioner development.
Why is this important?
Colonics have become a very popular treatment and this has encouraged unregulated and inadequately trained therapists. It is important to make sure you have your colonic with an ARCH therapist as they are the ONLY Colonic Hydrotherapists to be independently regulated by the government backed Complementery & Natural Healthcare Council. (CNHC).
